short biography

I began research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the lab of Dr. Robert Maass, where I studied the statistics of intermittent plastic events in single crystals. Now co-advised by Dr. Zi-Kui Liu and Dr. Allison Beese, I continue to work on crystal plasticity through the development of multi-scale computational modeling. My work focuses on the intersection of atomistic calculations with deformation and crystal plasticity finite element methods. The goal is to integrate computational and experimental methods across several length scales to produce highly predictive models based on fundamental material properties.
